I thought you guys might dig this. I wrote and performed it with Chi's situation in mind as I'm a big Deftones fan.

Wow! What a clean professional sound! If you aren't in the industry, you should be! YOU are a super guitarist and I played the piece many times for Chi. He opened his eyes and listened. As a fan of your son's and his band I am truly flattered. Wow indeed. That Chi responded in (I hope) such a positive way makes me feel that my efforts are well worth it. I'm so glad to be of some help and diversion from his plight. I'm also very grateful that you have taken the time to give me this news, thank you.
I am a pro, reasonably well known over here in Oz as a hired gun, but only known internationally for the YouTube channel that I share with my daughter, Sadie. (See: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vr8dzLrc4xs if you'd like a chuckle.)

I'll be in LA for the NAMM Show next January. Maybe I'll run into you guys while I'm there if I'm lucky.

Hi Sal,
Thank you so much. Receiving such a positive response has been surprising to say the least and one of the highlights of my 30 year career. Perhaps the greatest highlight. It feels nice to know that I can bring some happiness to people through my music.
I'm now considering recording an album's worth of similar material which I will dedicate to Chi and others in his situation. Proceeds from sales could go to the fund. I've just got to find the time and the trustworthy admin at the Cali end. But I'm working on it.

WOW,
that was a really good sound. I really like deftones and I really want a 7-string guitar. You sir just give me goosebumps with that song you made. Now I really REALLY want a seven string guitar, I love those low tones. Are the esp stephen series any good? I don't know anything of 7 strings.
