you rock gina.. you really do..

I was with ming and dai about a week or 2 ago, and your presence is most definitly felt by the family.

..very cool bracelet you sent by the way, i know dai feels the energy…. he’s very aware, i can see it in his eyes, very alert when awake and talked to. ..i was talking to ming in the room and looked over at dai and he’s was staring at me, and when our eyes locked , he quickly looked away,like he was thinking about something and was interupted, i knew without a doubt he’s in there. ..i felt it when i saw him 2 days after the accident, and i truly feel it now.

..we played some DVDs i made of a deftones show from 96 and a show we all played together in a 1 off punk band (FDP), and as it played i kept looking over at him and he just stayed fixed watching with intent. ..even with ming and i bullshiting back and forth while it played.

..the way i see it, he’s in a fog, cloudy. He’s not fully awake, but he’s there, inside, aware and when his body is ready, he will fully wake up. …and great call by the way on the hyperbaric chamber, just talked to mae about it.

i myself have know them (the family) for a very long time,ming and i have been close for almost 20 years. Im the one he refers to as “dingo dave”-long story and completely untrue LOL thanks to the tones and crew-Fuckers LOL!…

I toured with dai & the tones. Ming and i were with them on and off for three years-during Around the fur/white pony tours. When ming and i started our own band, our name (Quick 50) was inspired because of Dai (inside joke, looong story).. And so, what im saying is, The Chengs are a tight nit family, VERY protective of each other,they’ve gone through more tragedy in the last few years than any family EVER should and what you’ve done to help has been beyond words and very moving, and very, very much appreciated. SO please, never ever doubt that…

I agree with ming about the humanity part, we rant to each other about that stuff all the time, and when someone, as your self does something like this, is very inspiring
