One Love For Chi!

hope all is well with everyone…

our one love for chi sister heidi posted this today on facebook… and well.. it belongs here… hope you don’t mind heidi…

18 months, Chi…. I still remember how my heart stopped when I read Chinos original blog on the Deftones Myspace. My heart just went no, no, no, not Chi…! I don’t want it to happen to anyone, but oh my God, not CHI! My idol for so long, my hero…. Due to personal struggles that Chi helped me through, he was always the one I looked up to in so many ways. Not since John Lennon has the music industry seen such a hero and a fighter.

Speaking out for the weak and defenseless, he meant the world to me since way back when, and his courage made me stronger. He inspired me to escape a volatile situation.
Back then he spoke up for the less fortunate members of our society….
The women in violent relationships, animals, homeless people, unfortunate young people…
And he gives so much to his fans… His time, his love, and all the while genuinly interested in our stories.

There are so many reasons to love Chi.
His musical talent
His kindness
His compassion
His energy on stage, or stage presence. If ever anyone have stagepresence it’s Chi. Watch any live Deftones video from when he played, and you’ll see.
Don’t forget his amazing SENSE OF HUMOUR! I love hearing his laugh in the countless Deftones videos I watch.
His amazing eyes… They shine so bright and they are deep wells of spirituality. They captivate you.
His smile, that invites you in. sometimes a bit cheeky, other times sympathetic…

I’m so glad he keeps getting better and better. He is such a fighter and a warrior… He has all of us behind him to rely on and to gain strength from. He is loved by thousands of people worldwide, and the amazing One love for Chi movement and family gain strength every day. We spread the word and unite in love and a strong bond.
I’m glad he has the family he has, that have invited us into their lives and their hearts.
I’m glad he has his guardian angel, Gina. The honorary Cheng. We all owe her so much.

I light a candle for you again tonight, Chi, and spend a little time by myself, thinking about you and praying for you. We will love you and wait for you as long as it takes, brother. We’re not going anywhere. Take care, rest and gain your strength, Mountain Man.
