chi’s aunt renee contacted Fender and they so graciously donated this bass guitar to auction off for chi!!!

Bass autographed by Cheng, Marcus Miller, Mike Dirnt, Geddy Lee and others to benefit stricken bassist in comatose/semi-conscious state after 2008 automobile accident
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (August 26, 2009) – An autographed Fender bass guitar will be auctioned off to benefit Deftones bassist Chi Cheng. Cheng has been in a comatose/semi-conscious state since he was in a Nov. 4, 2008, automobile accident in Santa Clara, Calif.

The 2001 Fender Precision Bass guitar up for auction was autographed by several prominent bassists in 2001 as part of the model’s 50th anniversary celebration. Further, it was the campaign’s central instrument and was featured in several catalogs and advertisements (which will be included with the bass when it is auctioned off). Over several years, it was signed by noted bassists including Victor Bailey, Phil Chen, Chi Cheng, Mike Dirnt, Reggie Hamilton, Stu Hamm, Sean Hurley, Hutch Hutchinson, Alfonso Johnson, Geddy Lee, Marcus Miller, Ray Riendeau and Danny White.

i would like to say the following on behalf of momma j and myself.. *sigh*…
see we are BOTH going thru moves right now. myself and my family have been moving so i apologize for things slowing down here for the past week or so. and for those of you who are concerned with your t-shirt orders.. i am sorry. i will get these all caught up over the next few days.
chi will be going home soon.. i will get a detailed blog update from momma j, mae or myself here shortly.. have some other great news to post.. but i will be doing it in a seperate post following this one.

Chi’s Surgery Done..
i want to thank everyone who hung out with me today in our “virtual waiting room” in the one love for chi chat room… it was an amazing day.. we prayed, sent healing and strength to our brother all day.. and i just had word from momma j the surgery is done and it’s all good. she also thanked everyone who took time to pray for chi today. bless you all!!!

i just wanted to let you all know that chi will be going into surgery to replace his bone flap this coming tuesday at 12:00pm pacific time. please keep him in your prayers.. send healing energy and strength to chi on tuesday.
