A Quick Update…
i would have done this sooner but i have been really busy playing catch up since i have been back from my visit with chi… (emails, orders, shipments, phone calls, KIDS!)
chi is in the hospital… but don't worry.. he is stable. he has an infection and is being treated for it. since he is there he also had his feeding tube changed out (it was due to be replaced). he will be home soon.
thank you for your continued love and support for chi and his cause. you have all come together for chi much like a family would do in a time of need and i know that means a lot to him.
please keep sending prayers and healing to chi. it is much appreciated.
one love for chi,

Update On Test Results
hey all,
just wanted to let you all know that the docs called regarding the test results from their last visit… when the docs came out the first time back in january there were meds that chi had to be eased off of first before they could implement the new meds for the protocol.. one thing that they did start was the electrotherapy… so that was really the only part of the protocol he had been on up until their recent visit. the docs were happy to see that chi showed improvements in areas considering only the electrotherapy was onboard. now that chi is on the new meds/protocol they expect to see even more improvements when they come out to evaluate again him again in about a month.
chi is looking really good. i can see definite improvements since my last visit. we can't wait to see where he will be in a month of being on the protocol. one thing for sure is that he is a strong man. nothing weak about this man. that is for SURE!
thank you all for your continued love and support.
one love for chi,

“Fuuu.. Ya, Ya, Ya”
hey all,
we are starting the 3rd day of the new meds for the second phase of the protocol and chi has been doing great. the docs said the most important thing for us to watch during the transition of meds were his vitals and he has been fine so far. the new meds could cause anxiety or episodes so we have been keeping his environment positive and loving as the docs suggested.
yesterday he had a really verbal day. in the morning steph came in and was moving his arm and he said “FUUU..!” i think we all know where that was going.. ha. after steph and i got him ready and in his chair i asked chi “are you ready to go to steph's house and go sit in the recliner?” and he said “YA!” – i was so pissed i didn't get it on video! i joked about needing a “chi cam” attached to my head!
once we were at steph's i broke out the video camera, limes, tangerines and wasabi! the docs suggested some of these things to help stimulate his mouth. once i got to giving him the wasabi is when things started happening. i asked him “was that good?” and he said “YA!” and i said “huh??” and he said “YA!” again… ON VIDEO!
since the first time i saw chi in the hospital after the accident he has kept his left arm straight due to calcification and it has always been really hard to bend that arm… i am not used to any movement happening with that arm. chi was sitting in the recliner and i was sitting beside him on the arm of the chair on his left side and i started feeling something moving and didn't know what the heck it was… he was moving that arm.. bending it up.
so ya.. things were exciting around here yesterday. after two full days on the new meds… if we are already seeing little things improving.. i can't wait to see how things are in a few months!
chi and i are going to go hang at stephanie's… hope you all have a great day!
one love for chi,
gina
Forgot to mention yesterday…
hey one love fam,
the docs did this test yesterday that measures levels of consciousness and it ranges from 1-100 with 100 being the highest. anything over 90 is considered normal like you and i. he was ranging 97-98!
today we are taking chi to his routine doc visit and tomorrow there will be some new things implemented for defina's protocol… defina said he wouldn't be surprised if we see some progress with the new meds before i go home to texas. hope so!
one love for chi,
gina
Good news…
Prayer Request
hey fam,
after all the action today stephanie and i were changing chi to get him ready for bed and i noticed little spots of blood on his shirt around where his feeding tube enters his stomach. steph looked beneath the gauze and a it was irritated and had a small ball developing around it. we called ems and i rode with chi while mom and mae followed.. we are now at the hospital. please pray hard that the procedure goes smoothly. it is a simple procedure but still pray.
now i need to go fill mom with faith.. she’s losing it on me! so please pray for her too!
i’ll keep you posted.
one love for chi,
gina
