News From The Homefront…
hey chi cheng prayer warriors…
heard from momma j.. she got to speak to the doctor and he said chi’s condition is “serious” but not critical like it was the ICU visit previous to this one… so that is a good thing. they still dont know the source of the infection but are waiting for the results of some cultures to come back. another good thing is that chi is not on a respirator this time. mae also told me it isn’t as bad as last time… and that he was good and resting while she reads to him.
when i hear more results from the tests they are doing i will let you know..
other news regarding the oxygen chamber… they met with the oxygen therapy doc today and they were able to get the chamber set up properly. so once chi is released this time he will be able to immediately start the oxygen therapy treatments. these infections kept occuring the last two times they were going to start his oxygen therapy treatments. this time nothing should get in the way… and the oxygen therapy is also known to be beneficial in helping fight infections. DOUBLE benefit!!
please keep the prayers coming.. he is so close to starting the oxygen therapy which will help him in so many ways. blessings to all of you as well. your support is second to none and very very appreciated by us all!
one love for chi,
gina

Thanks for the update Gina… Continued prayer my friend.
This is great news…I mean, that it isn’t like the last time. I cannot wait for him to start this oxygen therapy…keep hearing about it and I have even read up on it and it sounds like it is going to do so much good for Chi. He just needs to get well enough to get in there and make it happen. Come on brother, let’s get outta that ICU! I am going to go pray now and send some positive energy from Iraq to Cali. Stay strong Mama J and the rest of the Cheng gang…we are not going anywhere until Chi is better!

This video proves how powerful prayer can be. This vid is about a young guy who was in a terrible motorcycle accident & had severe brain trauma. This is what we are sending to Chi. Positive vibes of healing love. -

Just wanted to add that although I consider myself very spiritual I don’t believe that you have to be religious or spiritual to pray. Just know that prayer is a way to send positive energy. Since everything is made of energy even positive thoughts will do. I believe Chi will pull through. He has proven to be quite the fighting spirit, eh? We love you my brother. To Momma J, Ming & the rest of the family it’s only a matter of time before Chi is back with you. You all must be so proud of him for his strength & courage. My love to you all. I am praying for you too.
RC
We all wish Chi the best and I always pray for him.Chi never quits! Stay safe you all!.

Deftones was the first concert I ever saw when I was about 15 yrs old. I’m a musician as well, and a fellow bassist, and have always considered Chi and the Deftones as one of my greatest inspirations. Even got to meet him and say a few words to him after a show in Milwaukee…that must’ve been before Around the Fur, even. Awesome bassist, even a more awesome guy…a true inspiration to all that got a chance to meet him and hear him play.
Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery. Sending some positive energy and love Chi’s way.

No man is an island,
No man stands alone,
Each man’s joy is joy to me,
Each man’s grief is my own.
We need one another,
So I will defend,
Each man as my brother,
Each man as my friend.
I saw the people gather,
I heard the music start,
The song that they were singing,
Is ringing in my heart.
No man is an island,
Way out in the blue,
We all look to the one above,
For our strength to renew.
When I help my brother,
Then I know that I,
Plant the seed of friendship,
That will never die.

Hi
I just want you to know that tonight, in this corner of the globe the positive vibes are sent your way. If the universe is listening then hopefully they’ll make it to our brother Chi.
Just got tickets for the show in london. it’ll be a bitter sweet gig tho.
