just a quick message to let everyone know i just called and talked to chi… phone held up to his ear for him…wide awake… as he listens to be blab away…

he’s having a good day today. hanging in there and fighting hard. it seems like the new protocol is helping… i keep telling him to take those baby steps and try to be patient. i know it’s gotta be hard… frustrating…
pray hard for our boy… light a candle and send out some good prayers, energy and healing to chi.

Good to know Gina. All of my friends at work ask about him whether they are fans or not. It’s nice to know that there are still people out there that care about people. And thank you for reposting Heidi’s words. I’ll admit I don’t check Facebook very often.
Gina, Ive been reading your updates and really appreciate them! My very first concert, some 3000 concerts ago, a little unknown band called the Deftones opened the show and changed my life forever. I have since seen them 20 more times. Im going to see them in a couple weeks and I have no idea what thats gonna be like without Chi. I hope he knows how much he is missed and how many ppl are praying and pulling for him to make a full recovery! Thanks for all you do. Hang in there! It is good to know he has such strong support around him.

I’m glad to hear he is slowly getting better. =] If it is possible, I would like to make Chi a blanket. Please, let me know and if so- what colors would you like? I’m a n00b blanket maker, but so far I have been more comments on how good they look for a beginner than bad.

This will be my first time writing here since being put offline by my computer having problems and being in the repair shop since March…
But nonetheless, I’ve never had any doubt in Chi’s recovery – he’s the strongest person I’ve ever heard off, fighting hard in his recovery and making progress day by day. The fans have been amazing in their support of Chi, and the world of music has been a great help with their well-wishes, charity shows, and other signs of support for Chi.
18 months later, I’m lying in bed listening to the new Deftones album on my PlayStation – and while I am impressed with Sergio Vega’s performance on the album, it’s not quite the same as having Chi on the bass. There is a void there. Still, Sergio’s a good guy, and I wish him nothing but the best.
And finally, nothing could make me happier than reading the latest updates on Chi. Dr. DeFina and his team have been outstanding in helping with the treatment, and I think we will very soon see Chi thank the good doctor in person for bringing him back.
This has been a fan effort – a team effort – since Day 1, with fans gathering from all around the world to show One Love For Chi. No matter if it’s a CD compilation from Romania, or a size-XL T-shirt from Texas, or a kid typing on his/her keyboard in Peru, it’s all about showing support in a time like this. I don’t think there has ever been an effort like this by fans of a musical group, to help one of its members in a time of emergency – and I am so proud to be a part of the effort.
