Love From Momma J…
Dear One Love Family,
There is not anything earthshaking as far as a change in Chi’s condition, as he has had ups and downs and has been two steps forward and one step back. That being said let me thank you all for the support and love that brings you back here to what is my safe place with the people who never stop caring. I check by often to use the chat room and see if Gina has any new surprises that we are unaware of.
One event that must be shared is the Exit concert that happened on August 14. The Whosoever’s including Brian “Head” Welch, Sonny Sandoval, Ryan Ries, and Raul Ries, along with POD, the Chariot, Living Sacrifice, the Rep, All or Nothing, Secret and Whisper put on an incomparable outreach show that no one present will forget. It was a free concert with vendors and other contributors sharing income with OneLoveForChi. The LA Fairgrounds was transformed to a place of worship and love, filled with a universal feeling of community and great music. We were fortunate to have the amazing Metal Mulisha and Skate Demos through the day, along with underground Artists and volunteers auctioning donated items. The spirit of love and friendship, family and community grew throughout the day and evening and it was a night that no one wanted to see end. We all left with a glow that we will carry and reflect on for a long time to come. There will be a DVD of it I believe and we will let you know when it is available.
The documentary that has been seen in parts 1-3 finished filming at the Exit and will be finished into a short film about Chi and his journey. I don’t have details about when it will be finished or released, but know that it is going to be a great watch.
Chi is still being treated by his team of New Jersey Docs. They have come out again to do more follow up tests and still want him to go to the east coast to be under their direct care. We appreciate all of the fundraisers that are ongoing and your generosity so very much! Thank you for sticking with Chi. He is not giving up.
Mae is still working him very hard with physical therapy every day. It gives her quite a workout too. Ming is scheduled to be out again in a few days and stay for almost a week. That will make for an interesting week with good guitar music and loud CD’s.
It is almost midnight now and Chi is more awake than he has been all day. He has his days and nights backwards again. I don’t know why it is that the quiet time is his time to wake up more. I keep thinking of how he used to have insomnia and how odd it would be if when he is recovered he goes back to having trouble sleeping.
I feel like this blog is really lacking and think it is just because I am tired and should go to sleep and write more later. As always, our love and best wishes are with ya’ll. Stay well, buckle up and be happy. Life is so precious. Live it well.
OneLove, Jeanne n Chi

hey Jeanne, this is a great blog, love hearing about Chi.
Have you got the album Ultra by Depeche Mode? If so, awesome, if not I'd recommend it to play for Chi. Lovin' the Mode, Exciter's a good one too – that alawys relaxes me and sends me to sleep if I listen at night.
Lots and lots and lots of love and hugs

this is a reason to rejoice and pray even harder!!!, another reason to thank God.
I would like to thank that it was possible for me and for many other Chi's soldiers to watch live the events of that day and the performances of that night.
Being so far away, this blog has made me feel part of a family , one you've made in this blog, who shares the same feelings for Chi.
The love and time that you and Gina have put this blog is great and i am grateful for letting me be part of the recovery of Chi from………here.
