Hey Gina, the chat room is the place to be…i’m sure alot of positive vibes will be carrying into that room and hopefully pass onto our bro Chi!damn, that infection…what kind of infection is this that keeps messing with him?is it like some kind of bed sore stuff?from not being able to turn him or is it something internally?sorry to ask so much, i’m just really aggravated with the whole situation of this stupid infection messing with our brother and slowing our process..anywho…this night is kinda hectic around here cuz everyone is just being obnoxious and drinking and i’m not wanting to be a part of it, so i am gonna go for now…Chi brother,,,beat this infection and get your ass home !hahaha!yeah..i had a beer or two tonight..sorry for the bs in words..but i love you Chi and i always carry you in thought everyday!

I tried getting into the chat room to pray for Chi during his surgery, but can’t get in. I’m sure it’s my work computer that isn’t letting me get in, but I am just going to continue to pray on my own for Chi and the Cheng family. This is HUGE and it makes me so happy it’s finally happening.

This is the ‘nice guy from New Jersey’ whom Mom J refers to. Thank you so much for the compliment! The new friendships I have made here are a true blessing! It was great uniting in prayer here the day/night of Dai’s surgery, and is something we should do more often. The Holy Spirit was present here that day, and there is a calming and peace here when I visit. Hope to chat with you all again soon! Peace and Blessings! -Bruce

Why dont the Deftones release “Entertain Me : A Film About the Deftones ” and give the proceeds to Chi Cheng? I along with alot of people would love to see it, and it would be an easy and great way to help out Chi. Can you suggest this to them Gina?

It was great to hear the latest news on Chi. Thank you so much for keep this site updated. Bless all of you and your family for being strong. We all know Chi is going to recover all the way and we do prey for it to be an easy, and speedy recovery. Thru my love of the bands music, I was able to meet the band, and I spent more time talking with Chi when I did meet them. After 5 minutes of a conversation we had it felt like we had been life long friends. Beyond the music Chi is a great guy. He is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. He respected me and was so humble. I spent days telling people how cool it was of Chi to sit and hang with me and talk about everything from video games to Cliff Burton. I’ve got much love for Chi, and I’m pulling for the best recovery possible for him. I really wish there was more I could do to help out. Get better bro! We miss you!
I couldn’t have said it better myself Jim. Chi really left an impression on me, and my (now) wife when we met. I couldn’t believe what a great, down to earth person this superstar was. I felt like I was hanging with one of my life long buddies. What a great guy…While we were on the tour bus Chi even went and got a poetry book and was going through it with my girl while I smoked and played playstation with Chino and Stef.
Chi, there are a lot of people pulling for you. I really wish I could do more to help. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Deftones was one of my first favorite bands and they remain to be one of my favorite bands. They are truly a unique and inspirational talent. I hope Chi recovers and I wish him all the best. One love Chi….We all love you and hope you can come back and continue the streak of great records that have shaped my life for the past 15 years. Get well soon bud.

I’m curious if they have tried Trans-Cranial Magnetic Stimulation on Chi? I used to work for a company that sold it here in the US and I heard there were some progress made with it. I don’t know what advances have been made since I left the company but look into it if it hasn’t already been done by your doctors or the place in NJ.
Deftones influenced my entire adolescence and have prayed for Chi’s recovery since I heard about the accident.

Throughout the years i have came to respect the Deftones as a definitive band that outlined the youth of the 90's, now as i grow older I see the band grow in both style and influence. As I watch the music videos and listen to the music, I cant help but feel the void Chi, and imagine what Chi, his family, friends and band must be going through. I am serving in the military, and as an outlet for aggression i often find myself listening to White Pony as an outlet . know that Chi will make a full recovery, and will always live on through music, and emotion. while I have nothing to offer besides my condolences and prayers to you, your family, and friends, i know that God has a plan for you. I wish you well Chi, and i hope you, and everyone involved the best. Have a fast and full recovery.

My best memory of Chi was him and I cooking shishkabobs together outside their tour bus in Cleveland during the warped tour (’98 I think?). Granted I was only 11 at the time, but I remember it clearly and how awesome it was. Their tour manager at the time (Jim Croccio?) lived on my street in Rocky River, OH at the time, and my best friend Greg and his mom Lisa lived there too, so thats how I got to meet and hang with them. The guys stayed there for a moment too, Steph stayed there for about a month I think. He use to come over and swim in my pool haha, and me, steph, and my buddy Greg would bike on our street. Really wish I was older or that my sister Alison woulda stayed in touch with Steph.
Just wanted to share these awesome memories. Hope to reunite w them one day. Chi is in my prayers, and when I get some money I am going to contribute as much as I can afford. I’m very confident in his recovery. Patience is key right now. Time and God will heal.

I, like many other folks in these trying times, am not able to donate to the cause this holiday season. Let's get creative here, brothers and sisters. I believe Chi can (and will, one day) appreciate from the bottom of his huge heart our persistence and creativity in making this happen.
In these times of social networking, there is no reason we can't spread the word about raising funds and garnering support for Chi's recovery. Tweet it, Facebook it, Myspace it, Youtube it- TOGETHER as a family, we will all get through this.
If you can't give financially, you can still help the cause. Spreading awareness & sending LOTS of positive vibes and prayers to our brother Chi will cost you nothing. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell everyone. Spread awareness to anyone- your favorite actors/actresses, musicians, etc.
At the moment, all I have to give is words of encouragement for anyone who might see this. I hope one day in the future, I will be able to give a small token of gratitude to help someone who has given so much love to us all.
We love you, Chi. Thank you to Gina and the Cheng family for being there for us, Chi's fans, and keeping us updated. More than anything, I thank my Lord for the miracles He has bestowed upon Chi on his road to recovery.
