Get Chi Home!
hey y’all…
just wanted to let y’all know that chi is hanging in there and the docs say that they see progress when comparing before and after scans from the treatments he received in NJ. YOU guys helped make this happen for him. the love and support you all have contributed is very much appreciated by his loved ones.
CHI IS READY TO GO HOME!
…and i need your help.
1. need to raise money to fly him home. this requires a medical flight.. runs about $20,000
2. need to raise money to buy him a hospital bed that does amazing things to avoid him acquiring bed sores.. runs about $15,000 USED!
3. (could be long term goal but would be nice to get asap for him) a wheel chair accessible van to transport him to and from his treatments and checkups. i am thinking it could run $20-30,000.
you will now see on the one love site that i have changed the donation goal to $70.000. if we can try to reach this goal within 2-3 weeks it is going to help get chi what he needs to get home.
number 1 and 2 are my priority goals. these things need to be in place for him asap! i appreciate all the help i can get from the one love family to help make this happen. anything you guys can do to help promote this page and help.. thank you SO much!

Really glad to read that Chi is making progress. I (unfortunately) have not been able to donate, but, I`m hoping that some time in the future I will have enough to donate. Haha, damn, if I had a wheel chair accesible van to donate, I would….I wish the best for Chi. Peace.
Gina, I just wanted to say that you are amazing for the way you’ve helped put all of this together all just to help Chi. I totally sympathize with you about how life throws you curve balls and be really overwhelming sometimes. I just hope you know how great of a person you are, and I hope you take solace in the fact that even though life can be crazy, you keep taking your time to help Chi and his family. You are a great person for that, and even though life gets hard sometimes, I really believe that the universe will repay you for your good deeds. Keep up the good work!
Hey Gina! its Kim in So Cal, we are still raising money for his procedures as well. Also PLEASE let me kow if I can lighten that load. Im disabled, dont work, daughter left for University Pre Med so Im pretty open and have lots of time!!!! Find me something to help you out and it will be DONE!!! I just turned 50 and ya know girl stuff with me.. Need something to keep my mind occupied!!!! Love you One<3!!!!

hi gina..how funny..i was just printing a picture of chi of a youtube video… for my house…i like to have a photo of people i pray for all the time..it just makes me feel more connected somehow…anyway … i was just printing one and saw i had an email..it was from onelovefor chi from you:)

Gina, thank you for for being who you are. Thank you for your dedication to Chi and his family and to getting the word out to all of us. Feeling overwhelmed and dodging curve balls, I understand. Know you are not alone. Prayers are going up for everything.
I pray for you chi, deftones made my life and that was the first band I like and the only band I’ve liked forever… Every album went along with my life it’s quite extraordinary… Anyways I’ll be sending some money over:) we need more people! And I will help and I buy some t shirts just

I’m so happy that Chi has shown improvement & is on his way home..I’m an RN and briefly took care of him while I worked at that hospital…great news indeed! I will continue to keep him & his mom in my prayers…I’m also looking into trying to raise some money for him…

This is Such an amazing thing that’s being done for such an amazing person. After loosing My own Bass Player and Best friend all i can doo is pray and hope for the best for chi Because i would never want anyone to feel the way i did after my tragedy. Hey I would love to donate later this year, I will be making a lot of money in the summer and will be able to donate a larger amount maybe sometime in July if I get paid part way through! I want to make an actual difference in his recovery and I can’t wait to help!
I just want to say that I am thinking of Chi and the entire Cheng clan! I only found out about One Love 4 Chi recently… and watched the video documentary. Hang in there- keep pushing toward those goals! I know he can do it! Much love and prayers out your way. Chi’s extremely lucky to have such loving, supportive friends, family and fans!!!
I’m puzzled why Deftones would need financial help… How can they not afford these things? So weird.
God bless you for doing what you’re doing Gina. I know first hand how quick the cost for things add up as I was in a car crash in ’05 that took the life of my father who was driving and nearly claimed mine a few times on the road to recovery. All in all it cost well over $300,000 before I was able to be released to go home. Chi, you will remain in my prayers as if you are a close friend and I will donate every time I get the chance.
